I bought one!!! I can not wait to get my hands on this one! After doing some research on different torches and having a budget I decided the Lynx was the best for me to get within my budget.
Now I do have some questions about it though.I already have a second concentrator so that is not the problem. THing is I noticed the Lynx already has two pieces of hose atached to it ( propane and oxy). Can I take these of and just atach my own gas and oxy hose or should I leave it on?? I have never seen this particular connector before ( wich is not surprising since I live in The Netherlands and Lynx torches are not a common sight)
Can anyone show me a picture of their lynx setup just so I know what to look for? English is not my native language and I am having a hard time with all the tool and part names in english, I hope you all will forgive me for that;)
thanks! Suzanne
Leave those hoses on there. Attach your regular hoses to those with hose clamps. I don't think your hoses will fit properly if you remove the ones attached to your torch. I actually prefer this set-up to the way hoses connect to other torches. (I have both a Minor and a Lynx). The hoses stick way out on my Minor, but the hoses on the Lynx go straight down, which makes it more comfortable to use and I can get a little closer.
This uploader thingee is cheezing me off, so here's the link to a photo.

Hope this helps,

congrats on your new Lynx. You will need both those concentrators for sure. I really like the Lynx on tanked oxy too! I have my hoses hooked up the same way. Leave those hoses it came with on.
I have had my Lynx for about a year now and really like it. I do plan on purchaseing a Bethlaham Baracuda soon but I will still keep my Lynx as well. I just prefer how Boro melts with the Cuda.
Good luck with it... and Congrats again!
Thanks Suzanne! :)
Try looking again, the link works just fine for me. There might have been some server maintenance going on when you tried it.

Hello
Hose clamps...ugh...my welding instructer husband "was not happy" when he saw my hose clamps. DH told me to take my torch back into the welding supply shop and have them put on permanent connections.
Hose clamps tend to cut into the rubber on the outside of the tube, and they might cause a leak, and it would be awful to have a flaming surprise where my connections are positioned.
I love my Lynx, and I have used it for two years, without any problems. My oxygen concentrator is an OSGI, and I'm happy with it, too.
My glass melting has slowed down from tanked oxygen, but I've found ways of doing other things that have taught me alot about glass.
For instance, now, I'm putting my glass into the flame and melting it, and pulling the glass out of the flame again to slightly cool it, and reheat again, and cool again...the goal being to reduce shock, which allows me to do more elaborate applied designs, and allowing the glass to cool enough so that I can work on part of the object and not have stuff pop off.
I equate this with putting my children to bed with love. If I just slammed my child into bed, he or she would just jump up and want to break up all over the place. But if I apply some love (heat) and go away, and repeat this a couple or even a few times, pretty soon, my child will just fall asleep just ever so nice, and will let me go and do the other stuff I need to be doing.
Beads can be couched with love and respect for its properties, or it can just be melted and mastered. There is a time for each method. But, I have learned that speed isn't everything.
Take Care
