Please if anyone has any experience with a cheetah or other high power single stage burners.

Right now my national 8m just isn't cutting it, not big enough or hot enough. So i think the Cheetah is my best answer, since 2 stage i just don't think fits my needs (i wanted a 'cuda forever). Any comments on this bad boy(the cheetah that is). what oxygen setup would one recommend? I have one little 5psi oxycon, and i dont know whether to get another one, or go for the gold and get an m-15, which i hope would be enough oxygen.
OR
if anyone has used a single stage they prefer over the cheetah, i am definitely interested!

I love the cheetah! I had one for a while till i had to move somewhere in which I couldnt have my LOX. You can most DEFINATELY do larger mendants and marbles with the cheetah very easily. But the 2 M15's wont run it at 100% Im gonna guess youll see between 85-90% of her abilities if they run properly together to power it. I had the BEST results on that torch with Tanked or Liquid oxy but it LOVESSSSSSS oxy So the Liquid for me was the best option at the time as I would go through a 225cf tank in 8-12 hours easy. I didnt have the 2-m15's to try it with to see how well I would like it but what I did experience with it was great I was able to make some really beautiful things on that torch.

I have a National 8m with the SM21 tip and I run it on tanked oxy. Nice big flame and it is HOT!
I believe it's actually wider than the Cheetah's flame.

I think if you tried beefing up your oxygen you'd be amazed at what your current torch will do.

I have a Cheetah and it's a great all around torch. I've run it successfully on a single Air Sep Oxybox-13 (sorry, not sure of the output) then later purchased a Regalia. I now have the two y'd together.

I switch back and forth between my Cheetah and my Phantom. I got rid of my tanks a long time ago, so I've probably never run these torches at 100% of what they can do. But I can quickly make fairly large beads, 2 to 3 inches long, on the Cheetah.

I have other torches but GTT's are my favorite. You won't go wrong with a Cheetah. Good luck.

I have been considering the SM21 tip, and that seems like it would make sense too... i might just do that, do you know the psi or lpm that your tank does, or whatever the specs are, i know next to nothing about tanked oxy. any concentrator suggestions, i think the most price effective would be just to get another concentrator with the same specs as my current one.

WHAT TO DO!?! upgrade my current system or go get 'em with the cheetah!

I set the pressure gauge thingy on my regulator to between 8 and 10. I don't know if that's lpm or psi. (blonde moment.)

Malcolm at ArtCo Inc knows quite a bit about Nationals. I think he sells the tips too. I bet he would give better answers. :)

The Cheetah is an awesome torch! I love it!
It does need a good O2 source. I have an Onyx+ and it runs the Cheetah at 60%(or at least, that is what I read somewhere). Still, it is hot enough to do boro and actually is the perfect flame for doing soft glass beads.
If you have tanked O2, it can blast through things nicely! Very nice flame!!
Depending on your use, it can go through an O2 tank very fast(maybe a day and a half of all day use?)
I ended up switching to a Mirage because I wanted to do big boro things, but I still have my Cheetah because I love it so much! :-D

Here's ArtCoInc's National page (http://www.artcoinc.com/national.php). I want the Rider for mine but I want it to be surface-mix.

Malcolm is here on LE, ArtCoInc is his username. He has great customer service.

I think i'm gonna stick with my national and just get another oxycon and maybe get a diff't tip for it. that way i'll save $1500, and believe me saving for the $500 i plan on spending is gonna be tough on a student's salary.

you should also check around for prices on tanks... you can probably rent one... just something to consider...

I have a Cheetah and I love it! I run my Cheetah on 1 Regalia 10 lpm Concentrator. It's awesome. I upgraded from the Lynx to the Cheetah. All GTT torches are great.

see in order for me to get the cheetah and concentrator it would cost me around $1000, whereas if i just keep the national, i only have to spend half that, and i'll be working with two concentrators. I just dont have the dedication to save $1000, it would take years!
