I'm really curious about this one...
As I'm preparing for my Mirage to arrive (it's on the UPS truck now for delivery! yay!), I went to the local welding store where I mainly just bought steel rods for mandrels, but now added a couple 249 cubic foot tanks of oxygen to support my larger torch.
When I looked at the fill invoice, each tank was $22 (he told me I'm getting the 'contractor' price), but in thinking about it, the price seemed low, and believe me, I'm not complaining!
How does this $22 a fill compare with all of you? (I'm in a Los Angeles suburb).

That's a pretty reasonable price right now, I think I paid somewhere around that a couple of weeks ago for K-tanks. Start adding tax, hazmat fees, delivery and fuel surcharges and you'll see the bottom line jump up.

That's about what I pay without the taxes here in Denver. In fact, have to go tomorrow and fill two 251's

Your very lucky I've been paying $86.00 for a K tank fill. I did shop around a couple of weeks ago found the lowest price at $40.00.
It sucks to be me!

I just checked my last invoice - $22.90 each for 2 K tanks. Add another $30 for all of the extra fees listed above and you get the total bill. It's actually gone down a few dollars recently. If you don't own your tanks then remember to add rental cost as well.

That's a pretty good price because I'm assuming that's for a K tank. I've got a smaller tank (I think about half a K tank) and that's what I pay for getting it filled, somewhere between 18 and 22 depending on who's ringing me up -- And I'm in West Los Angeles :)

That's an excellent price for California. I have customers who used to pay $60/fill. It varies from place to place, though.
I used to pay retail for my S tank (half of a K), which was around $34. Finally, after four years, they gave me a contractor's price. I now pay $19.

I think you should all be thankful its $120 here in Aus for a fill.

The cost of a 150 cf tank is just about the same as a 300 - it apparently pays to buy in bulk. I traded in my smaller tanks for a couple of years' lease on the bigger K tanks and haven't seen that much change in my costs. The Ks are a lot harder to wrestle into the studio but I don't have to move them nearly so often.

Wow -- I had no idea there was that much diversity in costs... I should be grateful for what I've got!
Thanks, everyone, for the insights and for jumping in!

The cheapest place around here is $48 a fill (K tank) right now, which is the same as their contractors' price (a friend works for a big welding shop, and that's what they pay too). And I'm getting that price after much negotiation and threatening to go elsewhere.
The only other place is in the neighborhood of $56 last time I checked...

That's a bit low for this area, but pretty close. I paid about $28, including fees, for my last fill.

It $12 here for a 251 Cu. Ft. tank picked up.

Jim, I'm in Orange County, a bit south of you. I'm paying 15 per fill including fees. Shop around by phone!
I do pick mine up, but I really don't want them delivering here... Neighbors and all...
If I go the the nearest those bastards want 38. If I go a bit further I could get it for 12.
