Ok, finally got most of my stuff moved in and the torch is hooked up to the NG line. I can't for the life of me light the damn thing. I have tried the flint stick, I have tried matches, NG blows it out. I have tried lighters...same thing. How the heck do I light this sucker? I want to torch darn it!!!!
Please Mike, Dale somebody please tell me what the heck I am doing wrong? I double checked the lines. It's not the 02, and I can smell the NG. Does it just take a while to get the air out of the lines? Arghh, getting very frustrated.
I am going for a run to work off this frustration. I'll be back in an hour or so. Hopefully by then somebody will have an idea to tell me how to light the torch.
Thanks you all.

Are you opening the gas valve all the way up?
If you are dont just crack it a bit
Is your oxy on when you try to light the torch?
If it is turn it off and just light the gas first then add in the oxy...
NG line is on or off. It is all the way on. I don't have the oxy on at all. I was just trying to test the NG line.
going to run now. thank you so much for looking and giving me any help or idea.
It takes 30 seconds to 1 minute - sometimes more - to get all the air out ofthe lines after installation. Try bleeding your lines for 30 seconds (with your ventilation on) wait 15 minutes, then try lighting it.

Evenia at your torch i mean is your knob just cracked open or all the way on? just crack it and the bleeding the line out like kalera suggested is a good idea too.
It lit! Thank you guys. It's not as hot as propane and I'll probably have to get a booster some day but right now I think it will be fine. Thanks so much. I get to finish moving in tonight and tomorrow.
NG is not going to be as hot as propane even if you "boost" the pressure. It just doesn't burn as hot! It is just a learning curve...... and you will adjust your oxygen mix to make it hotter. I don't know what the flaming degrees differences are..... but the ignition temps are as follows: NG ... around 1100 - 1200, and Propane 920 to 1120. That might account for the lighting issue!!
You should love it..... I did........ we use propane now because there IS NO natural gas here in the Keys!
Good luck,
Lois

Yes, I noticed a BIG difference in the flame going to NG. But I like it.
My big adjustment is going from the tanked O2 to an oxycon. I just can't seem to get a nice pinpoint flame on my Minor like I used to. And everything is reducing like crazy, which means I'm not getting as much O2.
