Winter Glass Classes at the New Workhouse Art Center
The Workhouse Art Center in Lorton, Virginia announces its Glass Classes for the first quarter of 2009.
We are offering beginning thru advanced classes in Fusing, Casting, Stained Glass, Mosaic, Flamework and Beadmaking.
Highlights include:
Glass Casting with Jude Schlotzhauer, VCU Arts Professor for 25 years, January 10th & 11th
Getting Hot! A multi-discipline glass class that includes fusing, casting, flamework and coldwork. Taught by Liz Braun and Kathie Lynch, March 26th thru 29th
Introduction to Flameworking with Liz Mears. This accomplished and well known D.C. area artist usually teaches advanced classes, but is bringing her talents to a lucky group of beginning students. 9 week class starts January 12th
Several classes with our own Lisa St.Martin:
Beginning Flameworked Beads, February 14th & 15th, repeats February 28th and March 1st
The Next Step for Beginners, Glass Beads, 5 week class starting February 18th
The Well Crafted Bead, March 14th and 15th
Lisa is well known for her work and teaching which has taken her around the world. Lisa’s classes are always in demand and fill quickly!
In Search of the Perfect Pattern with Brad Pearson. February 7th & 8th. Brad is well known for his precision and technical mastery of soft glass and is bringing his skill to the Workhouse for this highly sought after class.
