I wonder since most beads are fairly small......is there any reason this WOULDN"T work? Maybe not using the brush, but dipping a bead in solution?

Or this would probably be better, but it isn't a complete set up:

For about double the second kit price, you can get set up right. I wouldn't risk it... ;)

Thanks....I guess the biggest expense is the rectifier....I wasn't even interested in doing this until I found out you can use natural objects such as leaves, flowers, shells etc....now I can't stop thinking about it.....do you know of a good place to get the set up? :)

Go to Kate Fowle's website - katefowle.com. She has a really good explanation of electroforming and the required equipment, PLUS where to get stuff, in her tips section. Also, Tink might be willing to help you with some information as I know she was teaching electroforming and had equipment for her students.

There is a small 'Electroforming' section on the SGB/MA How-To page, here: http://www.sgb-midatlantic.org/how-tos.html#Electroforming

Careful! It's addictive!

Last time I looked Tink was taking pre-orders for an electroforming kit.

She still is according to the website - http://blackswampglassworks.com/tools.htm

Thanks you guys..a kit sounds great. I will go take a look! :)

Kimberly, thanks..I printed up her tutorial...looks pretty straightforward (an excellent tutorial !) once you have the right materials and set up.
