I have tried and tried and I just can't get the juicy Bullseye opaque pinks on my Bobcat that I could when I was using the Hothead. I had to use my Hothead to get this result: beads below are salmon pink and gold purple frit.

The Bobcat, even if I turn the flame wayyyy down, still bleaches out the colors and will often turn my fuschia frit yellowish. I try to strike the color back several times, still the streaky bleached out pink, sigh.... Then when I put the frits over them they turn out so crappy in comparison to my old HH beads, and it makes me sooo mad! I would rather be using the Bobcat to melt Bullseye, sheesh!! :(

Please explain to me like I'm a kindergartener if you have to, I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong!

HH beads I made the other night:

I get the best pinks when I turn the propane down and the oxygen up. I make sure I can hear a hiss. I never want to see them get too runny. Keep them the consistancy of a good stiff transparant like Lauschas.

It's important that you not get it too hot. I usually don't strike bullseye purposefully, it just happens as you use. If you get it too hot, it will burn the color out.
