I recently purchased some double helix glass (dark star 2), and if anyone has hints on how to make the boro-ish effects I would LOVE to know how, all my beads turn out really dark. Not sure if I am burning it or what exactly...all comments welcome.

Hi Annie~
I noticed that when I worked the DH glass on my Lynx I got great color but when I switched back to my Minor and tried it all I got was dark...
So my conclusion is that it needs to be worked really hot???

This color grows silver crystals when reheated, especially if encased. Organic effects can be achieved by reducing slightly and then encasing. If a heavier reduction is applied to unencased darkstar2 a range of silver, copper, or bronze metallic effects is possible. Hope this helps.

I have found that a little goes a long way. I use a base of clear and or encase.
