I just got a small bottle of Eberhard-Faber Gold Bronze Pulver (Powder) and I was wondering if I could use this on a hot bead? It is a metal powder, I found that after googling it but I haven't found any info if you can use it on hot glass...anyone know?

Thanks,
Janet

I tried using a couple of metal powders left from another adventure. Didn't manage to keep any color at all - just ugly ash. It looked like copper leaf when you hit it with the flame. Not a pretty sight! I just made a small base bead and rolled it in the powder, then encased quickly.

I guess I might as well try it and see what happens, if it turns black, I'll just toss it.

Try some white enamel under it. If there is copper in there, the bead may turn blue.
