I was gifted with a few rods of this glass from the CA4 game. I finally got up the nerve to try it and I am soooo in love with this glass.

Now being as this was the first time I used it can someone tell me what gives it that translucent appearance in places? Is it from heating it more? I made a lg lentil with it and if I can get it to do what it did in this bead...YUM!

Thanks!

I have a bunch of this glass and the pastel too, but it's completely opaque. I like them both. It seems to me that if you put it over white it looks pretty opaque, but by itself it gets that streaky look to it. I don't know if there's a trick to it or not. It seems to have done it everytime I used it.

Now I think I'll have to go make a goddess out of it. You inspired me. ;-)

Yes, I think it's the heating. The more you heat it, the more opague it becomes. I have some rods that are translucent and some rods that are completely opague. I guess that's why they call it an "odd" lot! :-)
