Is $4.00 a pound for shot rod and tube high low or middle as prices go?

Are you talking boro(schott?)? If so That seems like a great price but post over in the boro room. They would know for sure.

Schott rod is also formulated for soft glass, not just boro. I have a bundle of Bullseye schott rod for soft glass (they no longer carry it though, boohoo)...and I also have R-8 Schott (soft) pucks for when I make paperweights. If your in the market for Schott, their rep is Dave Schimmel, back east. If your needing phone number, let me know and I'll look it up for you. $4.00??? do you mean per rod/tube or really per lb? If you really meant by the pound?, I'd buy it no matter whether its' soft/boro at that price!
