Are disk squishers the mashers that have slits in them that the mandrel slips into?

They are a little expensive but I am sure they are worth it!

Zoozii's website says they're out of stock... And they aren't exactly mashers. It's a 2x2 stainless steel paddle with a slot milled out to accomodate a mandrel. You'd have to press both sides separately. I'm thinking I might try to rig something.

You can make your own. I made the original Starfield disk squisher before it was produced commercially.

Take a BBQ tongs (stainless) and grind a slot down the center. You will need a grinder a dremel tool isn't heavy enough. You will have to bend the tongs to close flat.

The original one is still here someplace if you want a pic I may be able to find it. It works just fine. I was given one of the first ones out of production and it is better balanced but you can make your own.

I would love to see pics Karen. I'm going to try and talk my brother in law into making some for me.

There are two items, both originally from Jeff of Inspiration Toolworks.

One is the paddle, temporarily out of stock while I have more made.

There is a small number of mashers left, but he did not have any disk pieces left (they are interchangeable). I'm working on getting more of those for the handful of mashers I have left. If you are interested contact me directly because this is not a normal Zoozii item. Amy at Zooziis dot com.

I am so thankful to have purchased some of the Starfield disk mashers from someone on LE. They are worth every penny and I recommend them highly.

I just received them in the mail yesterday and had fun using them last night. I LOVE these as I always knew I would.
