Hi everyone. Kate Drew-Wilkinson asked if I'd help get the word out for this museum exhibit in France:

Exhibition of contemporary beads - Berck Museum

Location: Berck Museum (Pas de Calais)
Dates of exhibition: June - December, 2006.
Theme: Marine inspiration from the sea and the wind
Forms: Gift to the museum of the bead based on a marine inspiration Possiibility of of loaning to the museum beads representative of the artist’s work without restriction as to theme

Beads must be received by the museum no later than 2/28/06.

The “marine inspiration” bead must be accompanied by an artist’s statement
containing:
1) Brief overview of the beadmaker’s artististic evolution (± 4 lines).
2) Sources of inspiration for the bead, the artistic process (± 4 lines).
What is sought is not what inspires yopu in the theme, but rather how you go about translating it into and through a bead.
3) Statement must be received by 20/II/06.
4) Statement may be written in French or English and must not exceed 1300 characters, spaces included.

The beads will be photographed by the museum’s photographer. A catalogue will accompany the exhibit. Once in print, there’s no going back; you will known through this image for several years to come.

The museum will not sell beads.

In addition, we are invited to give demonstrations in the museum:
1) Demonstrations of torchwork beadmaking.
2) Presence of the Association in the museum.
3) Workshops for beginners.
4) Etc.
