Somehow I've managed to put together a little frit tray collection over the years. The tiny silver oval dishes with the points are my newest addition and favorite. Got them at a cooking store--they're Tart Dishes. But I like the creamer for pouring unused frit back into the container from whence it came. The glass ones are sushi bowls, and the round silver one is a soap dish.
What do you use?

I don't use a bunch of frit, so I just use a big spoon. I love your collection.

I've been working with Andy Ray (designer of the "Handy Andy" tool), and have made up a batch of large graphite frit trays. They are, like, 7" x 7" x 1/2" deep. We're calling them the "Andy Ray Handy Tray" :)

I've been using the bottom of shot glasses for frit ever since Ariana scared me and all the frit flew out of my spoon. My only issue with the shot glasses is that the edges are so thick that it's hard to pour the frit back into its little baggie...

I love love love these. I have used spoons, tried to make my own tray, tin lids from Fossil watch boxes but these have won me over. I bought them at the House of Rice Store online. http://houserice.stores.yahoo.net/ststchstspbo.html
They hold frit nicely, don't turn over like a regular spoons, and make pouring leftovers back in to the tiny zip lock bags a breeze.

Hey I have chinese spoons. Good Idea. I'll have to bury one out for the studio. Thanks.......Slick
Love your photos!
I use my long graphite molds for frit... the kind that you use for barrels and squares. Works great and easy to pour back if necessary, and less stuff on the table since you can then shape on the same graphite mold if you're making barrels or squares. Less space and more time efficient:).

I use the little triangular trays that seed beaders use. (I bought them a bead store). Then when finished I dump it into a small metal "gravy" boat to put it back into the jar or baggie.

I found a set of 4 stainless steel scoops with flat bottoms at Bed Bath and Beyond for about 3 or 4 bucks. They sit nicely on my work table and I can pour the frit back into the jar with no mess.
They look very similar to these.

I like to use my empty tea tins to hold my rods on my bench, and the lids are terrific for holding frit. I just keep the frit in the lid, stack a few lids together, and pop them into a ziplock bag to keep it tidy and dust-free. I've found that the square canisters with the round opening are pretty stable for holding glass rods.

I just bought a couple of cheapo ice cream scoops at the dollar store; the best thing about them is they are smaller than a regular scoop and they are rather shallow so they are great for big beads.
I use a combination....
I use these magnetic part trays, so it sticks to my desktop:

When I am done, I pour the frit from the part tray, into a mini-gravy boat to put back in the baggies/jar.

Hey Angie, these were great. I ordered a set. Paid more for the shipping than they cost....LOL Oh well, they will last forever and I'm thinking I can use them for fusing cabs too.
thanks for sharing.
I use these small stainless bowls I got at a kitchen supply store.
But, for teaching, I like these:
