Does anyone sell Moretti frit--or take custom orders for Moretti frit? I had a run in with a hammer with some Copper Green last night, and I just don't want to make it myself, and I don't want to sift it, etc...

Anbody know of a source?

Thanks! :-)

JameyLynn's frit is *wonderful* Very even and clean! I bought a nice batch a couple of months ago and have been having a blast with it.

You know, you dont' have to hammer at the glass to make frit... Leah Fairbanks taught us this SIMPLE method last summer (dont' know why I didn't think of it). I added the ice cubes.

I have a small stainless canister that I fill halfway with water and ice.

Take a rod, melt the end and then smoosh it with your flatteners. Makes a nice small lolipop shape. Heat again then pull it off with your tweezers and drop QUICK into the ice water.

Repeat until you have all the colors you want.

I get size 1 frit easily with this method. And you don't wind up with TONS of the stuff.

If you have any big pieces, a quick whirl in the frit=making blender with water will do the trick.
