Hi all!
In chat this morning we were chatting about dots, and their sometimes bad behaviour. Anyway, I was asked how I do my dots, and here is the result! Please visit my blog for a picture tutorial.
This might be quite useful to all the newbies out there. Please feel free to contact me if you need more help!

Thanks a lot guys! I guess it does pay off to sit here in isolation and having to figure stuff out for myself, lol. I DO envy you girls that live in Northern America and being able to go to all the Gatherings, and having top notch classes in close proximity! I also really hate to waste glass, so before I start with something I might have mulled over the 'pattern' in my head for a couple of weeks. Now I need to master striking silver glass ...
There is also 2 other tutorials on my blog - ring tut on 23 November 2008, and on 5 Nov 2008 a way to get thin strands of floating colour under encasing.

Thank you guys! I have also added a little tutorial how I manage to get a round bead of the same size time and again. It is a silly 8 picutre tut, but a tecnique that I use everytime I sit in front of my torch.
Now I need to start selling all those round beads ...

This is so awesome. I cannot wait to get the torch going tonight. It makes sense to turn the mandrel like you do to avoid droopage.

Thanks so much for the lesson!!! When I saw your beads in the gallery I had to wipe the drool off the keyboard, they are so lovely. I can't wait to try my own version of this technique. I ejoyed your blog imensely! Thanks again,

Thanks Diana. A couple of "aha" moments for me when reading it. It's clear, easy to follow and the pictures bring it all together. I'll definitely be giving your tut a whirl over the weekend.
