Hi -
Can anyone tell me how to pre-fire dichro strips?
Thanks -
Milon Townsend says to anneal boro dichroic at 1100-1150. I would assume for soft glass, you could anneal it at 1050 or so.

Yes, I am talking about 104 COE glass.
Anyone else have a definite firing temp?
I know that this article is old, but try the following website:

I have tried this and it worked for me. I fired it to 1350 and held it for ... ummm ... I think it was about 15 or 20 minutes? I can't remember because I haven't bought any more dichroic since.
Sorry
STOP!!!
I just realized that I forgot to say that you need to use a kiln shelf with kiln wash or fiber paper or something. Don't take the glass up to this temperature unless if your kiln floor is protected appropriately. The glass will stick to it!!! Sorry. I fuse glass as well and wasn't thinking ... not everyone would necessarily realize that additional steps were required. My apologies.
