Do the millifiori bought in rods devit as badly as the chips when not encased with clear?

I use rods fairly regularly (cut my own slices). The white still devits. The trick I learned from Kate Fowle-Meleney years ago is to dot the milli with a bit of clear right after postioning the milli. Do whatever you want to do AFTER that, but give the slice a dot of clear no matter what, then it's all good. (I smoosh mine flat with a dental palette knife.)
