hot head vs magna torch MT 245?

is there really a difference between the hot head torch and the Magna pencil tip torch (MT 245)?
expect the price, of course -
newbie needing to get set up for cheap -

The hothead is set up to allow more air into the flame to prevent soot from developing on the glass.
