Okay so I have some Amber rose, well actually 4 rods so I think it is about a quarter pound and I have no idea what makes it so special. I don't want to use it until I know, and then maybe I will just sell it or something.

Thank you

Special because it is a color that will never be made again. It is just a pretty color.

A long time ago I bought 7lbs of it and ended up selling almost all because I got that desperate for some cash. I still regret selling it. :(

It is a very pretty color. I like it etched best. But, you can use lavender blue to get almost the same color. CIM's champage pink is similar as well.

How do you get the lavender blue to do that? I have about 6lbs of that color, but it looks like it does in the rod. I heard about this years ago, but forgot how it was done, or if there was anything special that needed to be done to get it that hue.

I have a few rods of Amber Rose that I have hoarded. It's so pretty used as a thick encasement, especially over a pink.

I recently got some CIM Pink Champagne -- awfully close in color! Haven't had a chance to work with it yet, but an looking forward to playing with it soon.

Next order with Howaco, I'm gotta try that! ;)

Use silver on it to turn it a deep Bordeaux. Otherwise, it's a gorgeous Raspberry Tea color when worked up normally. Looks great etched or not. Just a gorgeous color! One of my faves!
