Is Frantz having a sale today?

I thought I saw a thread last night where Frantz is supposed to be having a sale this weekend? I can't find it when I go to their site. Maybe i'm blind?

I'm wanting to buy my first batch of glass this weekend, anybody know of any awesome sales on soft glass?

Yes, I got the email already. Watch the sale rack section, they always post there. There are a few colors that are half off, including some important basics (clear, dark ivory and I think black).

I get an email from Frantz every Saturday morning my time (Friday day in the States) If DH wakes up before me, he deletes the email so I won't be tempted. Little does he know I have a secret email account where I am on the mailing list. LOL

I never found anything called "sales rack" but I did start clicking on soft glass and found the info. for getting 35% off if you buy 20lbs. Does it automatically discount it when you buy that much or do you have to do anything special?

I like to find a place that has great sales all the time on stuff i need!

Mike aka Frantz runs weekly sales/specials to every 10 days kinda thang. It's always posted in the Sales Rack. Additionally there is Tuesdays Pat Frantz (Mike's wife) specials. You can check their online newsletter, "the torch" for all current sales information:

Sign up for the newsletter. I tend to buy pounds of clear, white, black and ivory (light and dark) and 1/4 or 1/2's of colors until I KNOW I love them....(Like periwinkle). Right now the basics (Black, white, clear) are less than $6.00 a pound and that';s about as low as they EVER go! Rember Messy has GREAT colors but are not totally compatible with Vetrofond or Effrete......Hold off on silver colors until you get your heat control down! Oh, do order some of the turquoise to see the neat effects!! Have FUN!

Also, the discount starts showing up in your cart as you hit the gallonage breakpoints, but it does not show up on the screen with the individual glasses and glass prices. So, you have to click on your cart to see the running total less the discount. It is going to be an estimate, but it will be close. When your order is pulled, they will bill you on actual weight, and it can be an ooch more or less than a perfect lb.

I agree on stocking up on things like white, ivory, clear, turquoise. You may also want to get some of the more expensive stuff (like opal yellow or premium purple, etc.) for later use though, since you are trying to hit the best discount level. No point in not getting it if you think you will want it in the future, because you may not need to order that much glass again!

I usually wait for sales now that I have a pretty good stash on hand, but on my first order, I wanted it ALL - NOW!
