How do you work this? It's 747CFM. Do you just cut the proper hole and stick them in the wall in front of your workbench? Will it mess up your flame? What about the weather, how do you keep the cold air out in winter or rain or whatever?
Still thinking about the glasscraft. It looks easier to mess with.?

It's an excellent fan for lampworking. A few LE members have mentioned that they bought this particular fan and were very happy with it. If you size your hood correctly for it, it will not mess up your flame. The fan I use is slightly over 1000 cfm. Doesn't bother my minor.
Most installations I've seen posted have them resting in a hole in the top of their vent hood with a section of vent ducting taped to the output with ducting tape. The vent ducting then goes through a hole of some kind to the outside. Another way I've seen is to have the ducting from the outside to a hole in the top of the vent hood, but the fan is mounted outside (helps reduce noise). You'd need an outside outlet to power the fan and a way to mount it securely to the side of the building. The fan, when on, will tend to keep the cold air out. If you live in a rainy area, I suspect you'd want to make some kind of cover for the fan.
