I am having one heck of a time tying to locate some BRIGHT pink glass. As you would say in the 90s, hot pink. Is there a trick I can do to achive it using regular pinks and something else? I know I saw a picture here a while back with three small beads, one green, one purple?, and one HOT PINK! I need that glass! If anyone can help I would just be tickled.....wait for it.........PINK ba dump chhhh! Sorry, that one was too easy. Anyway, I use coe 104. Thanks for the help.

I'm pretty sure that was my pic. These are all Mother of Pearl colors. Try C&R Loo to see if they have any more. I've heard it's vintage German glass and I've heard it's just out of production, not vintage. It can sometimes be found in cane, but you're much more likely to find it in big fat rods (1" diameter or more). It's 104 COE.
You might also try the Czech shampoo glass (checkglass.com), which is quite similar in appearance, though it has a COE of around 95 (according to the Check Glass web site). There's a great fuchsia color (not sure of the actual name) that I got at the Gathering, along with a very similar purple. I don't see the deeper colors in the Shampoo section on the web site, however. You may have to call and ask.

Have you tried Bullseye, it's not 104 COE so it's not at all compatible with Moretti, but they have so many pinks it's hard to choose.
Satake has lots of pinks...
With 160 colors they should!
Its COE 120 and COE 113 tho.

You can encase purple opaque (EDP) for a lovely bright pink color. The only downside is that purple is a bugger to encase. Just thought I'd bring that up in case that will work for you.

I talked to CRLoo a couple of weeks ago, as they still show the MOP glass available on their website. No such luck. He told me that they had a couple of large rods, but that was it, and none of the cool colors. Let us know if you find any of it - I love it too!

Thanks guys! I tried the encasing thing and it is a much better pink. Still not that drop dead beauty of MOP! Could you help me out and tell me what edp stands for. I'm still learning the lingo!
EDP stands for Evil Devitrifying Purple! Part of its evil is that we can't stay away from it, no matter how it vexes us.
