I absolutely love the Devardi burgundy. It's very dark and rich.

The CIM Bordello is kind of semi-transparent... but I am really good at burning the color out of it!

I'll agree with Cynthia on the Devardi burgundy, and even better, it's one of the Devardi colors that does not bubble, crack or otherwise become "frit on a stick" for me. Very easy to work with.
Lauscha has that color!

I wholeheartedly agree. The color is perfect, with that slight undertone of brown, like a good garnet gemstone.
Their Cranberry is a nice, brighter transparent red, too.
I'm really falling in love with this stuff.

I 4th the sentiment on the Devardi Burgundy. I believe they are sold out of it right now, but I'll send you a piece if you'd like to try it.... ? (PM me if so... in case I forget which thread I posted the offer in and don't come back to check for your reply!) ;)

However I did play with a few of the colors I got form Devardi, the Purple Transparent is really pretty! The Light Green Transparent, played well with Efettre & CIM combined in one bead. I didn't have any problem with shockiness, but I introduced them very slowly to the flame, since others said they had experienced a bit of shock. I haven't tried the Opaques yet, next time. I was rather impressed with the glass, especially the colors!!!!

CiM Bordello would be my choice. I haven't had any trouble with burning the color out of it.

Thanks for all your responses! I thought I had most of the colors well represented in my stash but, somethings always missing.
Paula thanks for the Lausha info. I'll look into it.
I'll have to look into the Devardi stuff. Do you guys order directly from them or the bay?
Erose I thought I had some Bordello. I'll have to look for it.
My glass is a bit of a mess right now. Its all in various containers. I've had to move my studio around again. . . . .but that's another long story!
GlassGalore/Lisa I'll pm you. Thank you for your generosity!
Thanks everyone!

I order devardi direct from their shop. They're very nice to deal with & the colors are nice, & for the price, even the shocky colors are worth dealing with ;).

I order direct, too. Their website is very easy to use.
