What colour is this? It looks black or charcoal to me, in which case I probably don't want it.

I thought it was a dark green, but I could be wrong. I haven't seen it in person!!!

It is a dark army green, without the yellow tones most greens seem to have.

It's not the best picture, or the best bead, but it is the best green, IMO.
It is the darkest green on the bead. -Echo :)

It is supposed to be a green version of leaky pen.

I wonder if they licensed the name from J.K Rowling?

Deep, gorgeous green. Here are some examples - I paired this with Dirty Martini, Fremen and Leaky Pen, all CiM.

Carol, I'm not much of a green person but those are absolutely fabulous! I love the glow you get when you etch them.
What does the etch do to the silver dots? Does it take the shine off?
thanks,

I was wondering the same thing. She's fiercely protective of anything regarding the Harry Potter stories.
Having said that, this thread makes me want to buy some! Looks way nicer than the paddle I saw. *drool*

Carolyn,
I love the look of these beads! Do you mind sharing if they are all CIM green, or are the colors layered over white? Or is the glow from etching or great photography lighting?
Whatever you did, they are awesome!
And Kandice, your beads are to die for as always!

They are white core beads with four CIM transparent green colours over the top, silver wire added, then etched. The etching solution does not affect silver. The glow is from the beads, enhanced with the lighting.

Sorry, been away and was just checking the thread again. Thanks so much! They are really lovely - I thought the slytherin would be too saturated by itself, and would need to be put over white. I appreciate you sharing!
