I'm trying to figure out which hemostats to get, regular or looped. I want to use them to hold shorts & I guess someday I'll need them to hold other things. What do you get the most use out of? What do you guys think? Thanks!

I keep 3 pairs of 10 inch loop hemostats on my bench at all times. they hold shorts great. stringer shorts, picking up hot parts out of kiln, etc. Other than a pair of stainless needle nose pliers, stats are my most used tool. I tried the strait and curved jaw type. They did not hold the shorts strait enough to suit me. Plus you can hold small round objects with the loop.
I've never been able to use hemostats. They just don't feel right in my hand. When I get down close to the end of a rod, I just heat up the other end and stick it to a piece of clear to make a longer rod.
