I really need to get a new pair of mashers. The ones I'm using are pretty bad and tend to skew, leaving a tab bead fatter on one side. Really annoying.
Anyway, the 2 mashers I'm looking at are the barbeque mashers or the TP (totally parallel) mashers. One is $40 the other $90.
Has anyone used either of these, and can you say how you like them?
Thanks very much,

I used to use the BBQ mashers until I got lucky and won the TP mashers in a drawing. It's a difference of night and day - with the bbq mashers I used to balance one side on the table and push down with my left had because I don't have the hand strength to close them. The TP mashers are so easy to use, and don't require any feats of strength to squeeze closed. The aluminum construction makes them pretty lightweight as well. (lol - I sound like a commercial, eh?)
My recommendation? Go for the TP mashers!

That's what I was thinking. I really like the look and description of the TP mashers. I just didn't want to shell out the extra bucks if I didn't have to.:)

oh...I can push the bbq ones against the table!! They are REALLY hard to close. I've got half way decent single hand strength, too. My husband finds them to not be really easy to single hand close. He's a big strong guy.
I bought myself the TP mashers because the uneveness of the BBQ ones was driving me crazy. I also like the fact that I can change the heads too....have I used those others yet, no :D Well worth the cost!!!!!!!
Thanks, everyone, for your input. I guess the TPs are going to win, lol!
