I got some new glass today...
For the first time, I bought some Uranium Yellow (opaque #265) and I don't know what color to use with this color!! Anyone have an example or a good color combo???
As for the Opal Yellow, I had some long time ago but it was very very shocky so I kinda forgot about this color until my supplier got some this month.... So I bought some. Beside Rubino and Intense Black, what color is nice with OY?? :-k
If anyone have pictures that can help me or some ideas, I'll be very happy!!! :-D
Thanks!!

Any shade of Coral and EDP go very nicely with Opal Yellow. Also, any of the bluer opaque lavenders.
Silver leaf and silver leaf!

raku stringer on uranium yellow.
Any color!
EDP looks cool with both, I see Kim beat me to that. With Uranium Yellow I like trans ink blue. YUMMY.

For a really soft look, I like to use the opaque pale violet marbled into the uranium yellow. Large sections of color though, not feathered. They are both such light colors that if you blend them too much you will lose the effect. Encase that then put some more vibrant shades of transparent purple flowers over it.
Mary, that sounds so pretty. Pictures???

If you encase the pastel uranium yellow with *old* odd lot chardonnay transparent(vetrofond) it's a gorgeous butter cream yellow frosting color...very pretty.
I know I have pics around here someplace! I'll have to go through my disks. LOL
Probably be faster just to make a new bead...you know how that is. LOL
Yes, pastel uranium yellow is one of my favorite colors to play with encasing effects. It is a nice cool green and alters well. Try encasing it with any pale transparent and your base color palette just quadrupled.
Opal yellow too, I like to encase that with any warm transparent and it makes a really rich base.
