WITH ALL DUE RESPECT...may I dare suggest that in order to maintain the charm and intrigue of this hard-worked Tutorial by Chrissy, we PM our requests for sources of products necessary and techniques (which I figure MUST be in the Tut itself, yeah?).

I figure if Chrissy sees some tweaks or Addendum are necessary, she might modify the Tut a bit or send a "Supplement" to those who have purchased.

Humbly proffered,
De

Thank you De,

I mentioned in the E-book that if peopele have questions they can e-mail me.

I totally agree!
By askign such explicit questions on a public page. The hard work i put into this E-book are almost out there in the open for anybody to use.

this would not be fair to me or all the lampworkers who have already spend there money on purchasing one.

So i would like to suggest if you have any questons about the material used, where to get them to contact me.

I do believe that i forgot to mention some things, now that i think about it.

OK - did the "speed read" and it is awesome!

If you don't mind me saying, aside from the magical "sparkle" and the exciting "champagne bubble" information and techniques, THE BONUS MURRINI APPLICATION INFORMATION IS FANTASTIC!

As a hard-core murrini maker and a stickler for careful application, your technique advice here is a huge help for those who want to learn to apply it properly and prevent smearing, learn to make floral murrini "bloom", etc.

Murrini lovers, among others, you're gonna want this Tutorial! :)

Goodmorning everybody,

I do not have a list of sources. But it should not be really hard to get your key ingredients. I think severald reseller on LE sell them.

For those of you who do not want to search for them. I listed small kits on Etsy for $ 7

This kit has enough to make atleast a dozen of Balls. ( Actually it will be enough to make a whole bunch of Gold Champagne balls, and quite some sparkle balls. The dust comes in a cute Aluminum canister)

I have 5 kits left for now and they will ship free of charge.

Hope this helps.

:poke:Please note i live in the Netherlands and i do need my sleep too. I can't be up 24/7 so when i mention that i am going to bed you will not receive your e-book in the next hour or so. Got some pm's so i thought i mention it again

Well, Chrissy, even though some are still determined to mention what materials you are using in your tut in this thread, it looks like you are selling many of them. Good for you!

Perhaps if you found a good source, you PM might the person asking the question? Or post "please PM me for info" ? As Dee mentioned, it's really not fair to Chrissy after all her hard work to list publicly the materials she uses to get her effects. I'm off to buy a copy for myself!

Carols Glass
2009-09-30, 8:28am
May I suggest people delete or edit their posts that reveal the materials Chrissy uses?

Also, the quotes which captured and repeated them?

Wonderful tutorial, Chrissy!

theglasszone
2009-09-30, 8:58am
I think modifying posts which certain pertinent information is a great idea! I want to apologize to anyone who's feelings may have been a bit hurt by my post...I meant nothing mean by them and certainly I have similarly and unwittingly made posts that, on retrospect, have been along the same lines. I sometimes loose myself in my enthusiasm and don't always realize the impact of what I've said until a bit later. I've always been thankful, though, to anyone who was thoughtful enough to give me the "ahem...did you realize...?" type of post or PM, so I hope everyone is back on track and forgiving if necessary.

Also, Missy Chrissy, thank you for posting your "kits" in your Etsy - I got me one! I've had the materials needed in the past but since I simply didn't know what to do with them, I sold them in haste. I appreciate you offering them up to us....

Happy Hump Day,
De

Unwitting responses are so much a part of life that they're written into movie scripts. ;)

Vinny Gambini: How many fingers am I holding up?
[Mrs. Riley is squinting, trying to see the fingers]
Judge Haller: Let the record show that the counselor is holding up 2 fingers.
Vinny Gambini: Hey, your honor please, huh?
Judge Haller: Oh, sorry.
Vinny Gambini: Now. Mrs. Riley, and ONLY Mrs. Riley.

Yes, I watched "My Cousin Vinny" last night. How'd you know?

Christina, I must confess that I did multiply $7 X 7 (that's how many kits there were when I bought mine) and figured I had better limit myself to 2. That was before anyone said anything about controlling ourselves, as I am sure the same thing happened with the person who bought 5 of them. We just figured you would have an endless supply, that's all!

I can't wait till Monday to see the results of the invasion :-).

So far this is the one place I found it. USA doesn't list the thickness in millimeters, we use fractional inches. Look for Brass Sheet .002" thickness and you have the right stuff. (25 mm to an inch * .002" = .05 mm)

I'm sure there are others. This is just the one that I found and liked and bookmarked to. Haven't ordered any yet.

Thank you Beadanna, for bringing De's earlier posting up again!

I think if you google for the key ingredients you would get a list of suppliers that sell it.

I am based in the Netherlands and i am not familiar with stores in the US, Canada or Australia for that matter.

But i did do a test search on google when i wrote my E-book and got lots of sites who actually carrie a hole variaty in thickness that i would envy all of you for having so many options.

I would prefer and suggest that you do not post questions with such refeling info on what you need to make my beads in the public thread. As suggested by me and others before and also written in my E-book. Please e-mail or PM me.

And please keep in mind i live in the Netherlands and there is a time differece. Sometimes you will have to wait a couple of hours before i will reply. So give me some time instead of giving me second and third pm's/e-mails to let me know you contacted me 5 hours ago and still have no reply. :-|

As people said before it is not fair to me and all the work i did, but i also do not think it is fair to all of them who purchased teh E-book.

I am swamped with pm's and e-mails and i try to answer all of them as fast as possible. But i also have a bussiness to take care of and a family and husband who is in and out of the hospital. I just can't get them all replied as fast as i would like.

If you can not find any base ingredients, you can always ask me if i could sell some to you. Just like i did with the mini kits.

Which i will be offering again as soon as i have my new supply, cause i am totally out of dust & powder stuff. :)

Thanks for your understanding.
Chrissy
