I have a couple of rods of turquois color moretti. I love it but it seems to spark in the flame like copper. Does anyone know if this color does have copper in it and also what it is called? I bought about 5 of the hobby lobby assortments to get me started until my Frantz order comes in a week and this was in it. It is really very pretty and does have some color variations in it that makes me think of copper. If a pic is needed I will try to post one. Thanks!

I'm not sure which metal but you can soak in coke or toilet bowl cleaner or etch ligtly to get your color back
I believe that turquoise does have copper in it, and the sparks are what I get when I am overheating it. That is when I get the gray surface instead of the nice turquoise. Good luck!

Yes, pastel turquoise does have copper in it. Work it much cooler and you will eliminate the sparking. You will sometimes see the copper as a red color when you reduce turquoise. Some folks really like the red.
