any help?
What do you mean procedure? It's pretty much straight forward - hook it up, light it up, and go...

I don't have to let the concentrator run for a certain amount of time or anything before lighting up the torch? Is their a certain amount of time I am supposed to run it before turning the concentrator off again?
I remember that you should let it rest for a half an hour if you have turned it off, before turning it on. Other than that I just turn them on first thing when I get in the studio and they are get turned off just before I burn off and unhook my propane at the end of the day.
Open the O2 knob on your torch. Turn on your concentrator (some people will say let it run for a while, others not). Quickly turn off O2 knob at torch, turn on propane and light torch. Turn O2 knob back on. PLAY with fire!
If you are going to be away from your torch but back again leave the concentrator running with the O2 knob on the torch OPEN. Propane is turned OFF!! Concentrators do not like to be turned on and off, they are made to run 24/7.

I let mine run for about 10 second with the oxygen valve on the torch wide open. Then turn the oxygen valve off, light the propane, then turn on the oxygen. Works fine for me.

Thanks guys!
I have to go outside to turn off my propane so is it going to be okay to leave it running while I do that (if I plan on making more beads) I know, I'm having a duh moment . . . just being a chicken s$$t with lighting a big girl torch and want to have all my bases covered.
Also, is it ok for your propane regulator to still have a couple of the threads showing after you have it hooked into the tank?

Theoretically the first air that comes out of the thing is not at peak oxygen concentration as it is after a few minutes. The most important thing is not to turn the valve to the oxygen off and leave the concentrator running for more than a few seconds. (and replace the air filters regularly)....

Jen,
After you've hooked up your propane tank to the torch. Making sure that your torch knob and propane tank valve is closed....crack the propane tank valve to put the regulator under pressure and then turn it right back off. There will be pressure showing on both the Guages. If the Pressure on the propane guage starts dropping, then you have a leak where the tank is tapped. The fact that a few threads show doesn't matter....but you do need to make sure that it's not leaking.
