Raku is a striking silver glass so the general working principles are the same. Nancy's link is specifically for raku - great info there too!

All striking glasses, from the silvered glasses to good old Moretti red and gold ruby (Rubino Oro) behave in generally the same way -- you heat them, then cool them, then heat them again. But while there are some generalizations you can make about all striking glasses, there are also many variables and differences between the brands and between colors within the brands. Most of the manufacturers provide working information for their colors, including how to strike their striking silvered colors. For TAG glasses, see www.taglass.com and look at the Tips and Tricks page.
