I received a package of glass boro stix from Joe of GlowGlass.com and what a nice surprise to find two glow stix inside. :) Thank you so much. I can't wait to get behind my torch and try it out. Any tips on working with glow stix? do they need to be encased first?

Best advice I've heard so far is work em soft like dichro.....you do not have to encase the stix....they are good to go as is.
Although...it has been found (since EVERY particle of glass has glow on it....even the ones in the MIDDLE of the stick)...if you do choose to coat a ten mil rod with glow and then pull it out......you'll make a little bit go a long, long way.
