So guys, i live in lousiana. i need color advice for the purple and gold for my LSU tigers. i think people would buy these like crazy but i need good colors and i would love you guys to help me out. i use moretti glass so any colors in moretti would be best. also i would like to know a good gold for all my saints fans out there (10-0 wooot woot).

now as far as presses. i need a fleur-de-lis press or mold. or some good advice on making one. so could you help me on where to get one?

Thanx guys. y'all are the best.

I am not sure on the gold but lauscha has just come out with a new gold color that I think would be great. I am a huge BAMA fan and I know the LSU colors. You might be able to get EDP to do that but the best IMO for the LSU purple would be one of the purples from CIM. I've switched almost exclusively to CIM in the colors I can and the Evil Queen is a great purple but you might have to lighten it by putting it over white. Another great one is Black Currant. Take a look a the many purples in CIM. If you have to use effetre, you might try the transparent violet. They come in light and dark. I am not aware of a gold in moretti but I do like the lauscha gold. perhaps there are others that would know more about those colors in effetre but I can't think of any. You can reduce rubino and get gold but that is risky, expensive and might not come out the right gold color. You can see the gold on www.lauschalady.com or possibly flamedame.com. PM me if you have no luck and I will keep searching. I know it is important to have those colors for your team. It took me a long time to find the right crimson.

I sell the crap out of my gator jewelry here in Gainesville--(Go GATORS!)....you could try using gold foil to add a little gold, and then for the purple, I agree with Rachel, CiM has the BEST line of purple colors. Even their dark lapis is a little bit purple, it actually reminds me more of the LSU colors than some of the purples do. But Evil Queen is quite nice as well if you are looking for more of a berry color. You could also use the transparent color 14k for the gold, it is AWESOME! Don't tell any of my Gator friends that I gave advice to a Tiger.

In transparents, I'd go for the devardi purples. They aren't at all brownish. If I still lived up north, I'd be making Husky beads with them ;)

Louisiana rocks!!!! Try cim lapis for the purple. It looks like dark blue in the rod, but when worked it's a fab dark purple

For the gold, I would give CiM Unique Pumpkin 223-3, or Effetre Yellow 418 a try. They both appear to match the yellow in the uniforms.
