Kiln Question

This is probably a silly question but can I put my beads on the fiber blanket that is on the floor of my kiln? I just got it and want to try it out today. Or do I need to have something to rest the mandrels on?

I put beads on my fiber blanket all the time. Especially when I want to batch anneal some large hole beads. The mandrels are so HONKEN' big that they take up a lot of room. So placing them on fiber blanket has worked out quite well for me. I'm annealing with a Chili Pepper with the electronic pyrometer.
