Burning, burning

I'm working with pinks, yellows and whites and I am burning everything. My minor is new, but I just don't think I must have the flame right. I never burnt anything on my hothead....what am I doing wrong? Please help me...at this point I'm just wasting glass.

Try different distances away from the head of the torch. Make sure your gas pressures are right. I can't recall a minor's pressures off the top of my head, but it's readily available. It will take a little getting used to. It's just more heat. Within a short period of time, you'll be cranking out beautiful unburnt beads. :)
