What size hole for 1/4" tubing?

I want to start making my own bead caps. I know that when you dome your discs, the center hole will enlarge a bit, so I'm trying to find out what size hole to punch initially in the center of my disc if I want a final hole that will fit snugly over 1/4" tubing. Anyone know?

Hi Carol
For the 1/4 hole I punch out the center of the disk with the 3/16 punch.Dome the disk and file the hole out with a diamond round file till it fits on the tubing.
