Hi,
I am brand new to flamework, I would like to know what type of glass I should work with for doing sculptures and figurines not beads or marbles?

Should I start working with Hard or Soft glass??

Thanks
Bruce

Boro. Hands down, the easiest for any sculptures. Also - it's a lot
more forgiving and easier to learn on.

boro--but you will need a bigger torch than regular if you want to do large stuff...

Using Northstar boro and Simex for clear. It does take more heat than COE 104/90 and slower to form. But rods do not shatter and there are some great striking colors to work with. Like Green Exotic and Butterscotch plus more.....

As someone else said, "boro is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you will end up with!"

Have fun with the new hobby.
