What transparents are MUST haves?

I have such a hard time picking what colors of glass I want to purchase and transparents are the toughest for me.

So, what are your favorite transparent colors you have to have? (color and number if you know it) I only have a few and want to purchase more, but I'm not sure which ones I want.


If you would like to share even more info..... are there specific colors (opaque/pastel) that you really like with your favorite trans colors?

For me, what I REALLY need to have in my stash is :

Aqua (dark (036) or light (034) - gorgeous with white, pea green and ivory (dark or light)
Grass Green (020) - really nice with any shade of yellow, with white in combo with transp. aqua
Amber (014) - ivory or coral
Teal (026) - white, ink blue, purple
Purple (042) - lavender opaque, white, trans. green, opaque pink
Ink blue (058 ) - lavender opaque, ivory, uranium yellow
Cobalt (060) - turquoise, amber, ivory
Rose (068 ) - opaque pink, ivory

There's so much mix and color combos... but again, this is a matter of taste!!

There is this extremely pale blue color transparent that Lauscha makes, it doesn't even look blue it's so pale, but it makes the most luscious clear dots and stringer and it encases like....yum.

I used it over some raku earlier. I'm waiting for the beads to cook. It's so clear.

Cobalt, dark purple, light grass green, black (technically a transparent color), dark aqua, rubino (gold pink), dark blue.

My favorites are rubino oro, ink blue, yellow-green, dark aqua, and there's this really cool dark lauscha green....but I don't remember the name. I never remember names of colors...sorry. :(

My favorites (Moretti) are grass green (and sorry for a number kind of girl I don't have them to hand), ink blue, rubino, dark lavendar (that really dark one - gorgeous) oh and 081 and 082 (lol ... not sure what their names are but I love them both) ...

Thank you everyone!!! I see several that I want to try and a few that I already have.

I really need to get some blues and purples! I thought I ordered ink blue w/ my last order, but it was the pastel not the trans that I wrote down.

Must have Pale Emerald Green...of course it's a "expensive" color :lol: and my very favorite green....yummmm....
and of course I keep the "rainbow" on hand at all times (r/o/y/g/b/p)

Lauscha has a a purple transparent. Not amethyst. Purple!!! It is going to be the first glass I buy in a large quantity. I have one 13" rod left (I had two - bought a Lauscha sampler and got a freebie) and I'm hording it.

I love them all. In fact, I prefer transparent over any opaque but the one I wouldn't go without is the Lavendar-blue which is not the same color depending on the light. I am hoarding it even though I am not using it as I don't want to run out.

073 - Pale Apple Green (looks great with Dark Silver Plum)

Light or Medium Grass Green is a must for vine cane

Vetrofond Rubino and their latest batch of 082 (looks very much like amber rose) . . .
