Anyone know of a nice, earthy, medium-shade brown? I loved silver cinnamon (I think that was the one) by ASK, but....
The CIM browns are either too light or too dark or too grayish or way too striated.
Thanks =)

Have you tried effetre avocado?

It's more beige than brown, but that's the color I use for a khaki/beige brown.

I use Effetre Dark Red Brown. I make Buckeyes out of it and ivory. Will try to post after I take pictures.

Have you tried Maple? I know it is CIM but it looks interesting (haven't tried it myself.)

CiM Canyon de Chelly is similar to Silver Cinnamon in tone and saturation. Lauscha Cocoa is nice. Check Glass makes a Chocolate Brown. And there is the Kugler version of Silverbraun. :)

Devardi browns are brown. the dark brown opaque looks like dark chocolate, and the regular brown looks like coffee with milk, to me.

Reichenbach makes a caramel which pretty much looks like the name. They also have a tobacco but that's in the 96 COE line.
What about Tamarind from Cim..that one is really pretty but I've only seen it in rod form..

ASK glass was Kuglers glass made for Arrow Springs. They still have Kugler silver cinnamon but calls this color a different name. If you google search it or search this forum you will be able to find it. Or you can call Hot Glass Color who carries Kugler lampworking glass and ask them. Probably the simplest and fastest way. Here's their contact info:

Thanks everyone....I tried tamarind...too grayish and too light for what I'm looking for. Yes, Kugler, I will try that....
I don't like the Effetre browns because they're too red....and not the shade I'm looking for. I know, I'm being really finicky here, lol! Oh wait, why don't I post a pic....

See? I love this color for organic beads....

Try Lauscha Buckhorn too...

I was thinking of the Lauscha "caramello" which is one of the buckhorns. I made a bead with a base of the caramello and it looks very similar to the base of that one.

Nuclear brownie (another buckhorn) looks dark in rod form, but ends up being a creamy caramel color when worked.
