Has anyone tried encasing double helix "Dark Star" with Kugler clear and been successful at it? If so, what did you do? <plaintive query>

I've tried 3 beads on 3 different nights and all of them have cracked. I thought the first one might have cracked because after a bathroom break, I dropped the little sucker between the kiln and the loom and had to scramble for it :-\" After the next 2 tests, I've about decided it's not the ID10T unit error but the glass. I saw where Arrow Springs is having a bit of a problem with it.

Everything I have encased with Kugler has been Double Helix, but I've only used rhubarb and nebula.

This weekend was the first time I was ready to try out my new Kugler Clear rods for encasing some florals. I Got about 8 beads made and at this time, 6 have cracked clean across the entire bead. No cracks were noticeable until I cleaned the bead. On one, the Crack became visible only after I had walked away and come back. Im Setting my K-clear on a backburner at this time.

When using Kugler clear, after you encase you need to get the bead really hot again, so the kugler binds with the inner core of moretti.

Rebekah,

:P :P :P :P :P :P :P

I haven't tried those yet.

The florals I did with it are still intact and not cracked (hey, a rhyme). Now if the petals weren't smeared #-o I'd be a happy camper.
