Effetre 418 "butter" yellow

Hi All, does anyone know who still has Effetre 418 butter yellow that is still the "yellow" version. I have ordered twice and the color that I keep getting has more of an orange tint to it ~ i want my old yellow back !!! Thanks in advance!

Wish I could help, just checked my stock and it definitely has a distinctive orange stripe running the length of the rod, sample paddle even looks more orange than yellow too.

Just got a new batch in yesterday. Guess what? Orange stripe :-( What about Vetrofond Dark yellow?

Hey Angela, Accents Glassworks in MD has around a pound of the yellow version. The new stuff they got in is very orange-y.

I guess I'm still trying to figure out how 418 could even be considered a "butter" color even without the orange stripe. It's a pretty bright yellow be considered butter. The CiM pumpkins are more orange then they are yellow.
If I take the 418 rod and put it up to some rods I have...it matches pretty close with Creation is Messy Unique Pumpkin and also Lauscha Dark Yellow.

IMHO The CiM Ghee reminds me more of butter...but I'm picturing in my mind like a pale yellow kind of color.
But to match the 418 I'd say pumpkin unique or the Lauscha Dark Yellow. There's also Dark Yellow from Vetrofond.

Do you have any of the older rods at all? Even just s nub? If so, I can send youi a sample of each that I mentioned and see if I can find anything else and send it to you. Just let me know....

vetrofond's banana cream 791948 is a really nice butter yellow once it melts. it is the closest to a pastel yellow i have found in effetre or vetrofond colors. it was an odd lot color but if anyone has it, you might like its color....kath

Ghee should be like butter but it works up dark very easily, more like burnt butter. I think there are 5 or 6 CiM Pumpkin uniques and at least one is more yellow than orange, can't remember which one, but it isn't 4 which is dark translucent version. :)

The CiM unique that looks pretty yellow is 511223-3. I'm sending out some sample rods so hopefully we'll get the color "butter" figured out lol.
