I've been using Triton for a while for silver details and all of a sudden it is
changing. It goes into the kiln a beautiful silver and comes out more gun metal than silver. Nothing has changed as to the temp. on my kiln. Could the cold weather have an effect sinced I have my kiln in the garage??? The batch of rods I am using are all the original ones so it's not new glass that I have. Any ideas?
thanks

If you do a search in Tips, Techniques, & Questions, you'll find several comments about using activated charcoal in the kiln.

Also I have discovered that I need to vaccuum the kiln every once in a while because small pieces of beads, etc make be in there that are affecting my glass.
