Hi. I am in a bit of a rut with my bead making. I am really quite frustrated. I have lots of new great colors. I was hoping someone could give me some simple directions on something cool to do with dark silver plum or silver pink. I guess I need a quick tutorial for something that would come out nice to build my confidence a little. I don't know how to use these colors very well so I am just holding on to them.

If you have any suggestions on something really good yet fairly easy to do with opal yellow or ink blue, I would really appreciate it. I am not really very good at making shapes but I do pretty well with organics, tubes, barrels and round beads. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. I'd just like to pull something decent out of the kiln at this point.
Thanks a bunch.

Pull the dark silver plum into stringer. Do some raised scroll work and when you're done, flash it in a reduced flame... post pics and let me know what I just told you to try.

Roll ink blue bead in silver, apply rubino. Instant beauty!

I still have yet to figure out what to do with silver pink.

Do you happen to have any Purple Rose frit? It's a Zimmerman frit, also known as Purple Rose Special.

I'm crazy about the stuff! Anyway, here are some beads using that with Effetre: pinkish ones are this frit over white, and the swirled ones are a white base, periwinkle blue, ink blue dots, the frit, and then "gravity swirled". I really want to try this making a barrel or bicone shaped bead, one of these days. :)

Oh, and they have an etched finish too.
