Hey everyone, I wonder if someone is willing to help me figure out a good recipe for black and white twisties and murrini. I have tried peace white and murrini so far with intense black. I keep getting grey and mud.
What is the secret here?
Thanks!

Make sure you encase the IB with a good clear and when you attach the murrini on, cap it with clear so nothing can leach out.

For my twisties, I just use regular white and it seems to work fine.

I just thought of something.........I am laying stripes of intense black on the white but in the form of stringers. Should I be using a full rod?

In Heather Trimlett's class we just use regular ol' Effetre/Moretti black. Use twice as much white to black.

I just discovered that Hades black and Peace white make a reaction - I got a halo of black thin line. It might be wonderful in a twistie.

I haven't had much success with Moretti black in all these years. I have tried everything including encasing it over an opaque cobalt color. I don't know, maybe I used too much black...
The thing I did find that worked was using Vetrofond black and white or a light creme ivory. One year I got lt. ivory that was almost white.

I use that odd-lot of Ventrofond Ivory. The rods are a bit bumpy/grainy feeling. It tends to not bleed the black. The black I have used is Lauscha and sometimes Ventrofond.
