I'm looking for a good fleshy tone in 104 glass. Anyone have some suggestions with examples? I find that looking online at rods just doesn't do it for me because you never know how they'll melt. Thanks a bunch!

Silver pink is the best one that I've found.

I like CIM Ginger or butter pecan.
But the only way you will be sure what's right for you is to order some and try.

Reichenbach Apricot is a very nice flesh color.
Sorry, don't have a picture of a sample bead, but could make one tomorrow.

See what I mean, I have tons of silver pink and would never think to use it as a flesh tone. Of course, I never think to use my silver pink for anything. And I think I have Ginger too, I'll have to look. Just to look at rods, I don't get any inspiration at all. I can't look and say, "THOSE will look great together!" or "This is gonna be PERFECT!" It's all a game I play to see what comes out of the kiln. I guess thats the part that is so addicting with lampworking, to see what you come up with. And sometimes, it IS perfect!
I'd love to see an example of the Reichenbach Apricot if you have one :)
Thanks guys!
I like CiM Ginger. I'll look to see if I have a picture on this computer.

The CIM Chai unique #2 was pretty good too. Fairly light toned. I think ABR still has some.
I wouldn't use silver pink for flesh tone because the smallest amount of silver or other random reactive colour makes it fume yellow.
I think the recommendations for Butter Pecan and Ginger are great though :)
I like CIM Ginger or butter pecan.
Yes I use these for my mermaids. The butter pecan is pale caucasian and the ginger looks lightly tanned.

Yes, Susan! That is the perfect color I was looking for, the one in your Marina Mermaid bead. That is the perfect tone, creamy and shiney and sort of glows. Gorgeous! Thanks!

For myself...after trying at least 6 different "flesh tone" colors including Ginger, Ginger Unique, and several of the newer Lauscha colors that 'LOOKED like they'd be good, I settled on CiM "Butter Pecan" - just the regular stuff, from Reenie/FlameKissedGlass. I found several of the others to show darkening when worked in the flame (on a Hot Head) for a while, and some got down right dark and streaky! Yikes! These are a few examples of the great results I had:

Definitely CIM ginger - it's the best because I have found it does not react with other colors
