Paragon is a stand up company, that will always be there if needed. That I know. The SC2 is a great kiln. It's diverse functionality are great. Metal Clay, Glass, Fused Glass, etc.....

Hi Lilinday,
I have a Paragon SC2 with a bead door. It was my first kiln and I'm glad I started with it. I do find that if I'm making a lot of beads it's hard to get all the mandrels in the bead door and space them out inside as well. (But I'm a klutz about it) As a result I pushed a mandrel or two into the lining of the kiln and there are a few holes. The good news is that the small holes have not affected the use of the kiln. I also have a Glass Hive kiln which is longer with bigger bead doors and I can torch for a loooooong time before I fill that baby up. Also there's no fear of puncturing the interior. I'm glad that I have both kilns as the Paragon will be useful for metal clay. I'm not familiar with the other kiln you mentioned.
Good luck with your decision.
