Don't know if anyone knows about this.

group for artists & crafters in any medium or mixed media who would like to get together with others occasionally to exchange ideas, techniques, &/or materials, & to bask in each others' creativity.
The group began around a weekend get-together August 12-14, 2005, at Brighton Creek Conference Center, near Yelm & abt. 45 min from either Olympia or Tacoma, WA. No classes or official demos were planned--just a bunch of people coming together to share what they love doing. This was such fun that we've already scheduled the next one--April 7-9, 2006--same place, same unbelievable price of $75- including delicious meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. Hope to see you there

Contact Leslie @ siragwatkins@yahoo.com for further information. She's trying to get a "northwest" artist group started on Yahoo. NWArtists_and_Crafts if anyone wants to join/check it out. Though how many more groups anyone can join I don't know. I am losing track of half of them. LOL

Ohh.. I would love to attend. It's far away, but I was planning on heading to that area for beginning of May. Wonder if I can convince my man he doesn't need me or the car for an extra two weeks?... **laugh**... he is so going to protest!... Oh well. If we had the funds, I would have tried to convince him to come too.

It does look like fun and they talked about it being a lot of fun last year.
I just hope they can get the # of people to keep it going or make it in to a bigger thing. :) They want artists from all walks of life to come together and share ideas and thoughts. Not just lampworkers, kiln artists what ever. It could be very interesting and a good growth time. Besides it's 2 days without spouses/kids and people who like creating art. How bad could that be??
