I have been looking and looking and looking some more for a way to add texture to some of my beads. I've used leather stamps before, but it's really hard to keep the shape of the bead when I press, and then I lose the pattern when I flip to the other side. Does anyone have any suggestions, ideas, comments that might help or hinder??](*,)
You might try using some copper screen, it comes in different sizes, also available at many craft stores are brass embossing plates which come in many patterns. There are decorative brass stamps for embossing wax seals available as well through some stationery/paper stores, these are a bit harder to find though. I hope these were the type of ideas you had in mind!!

Take a look at this thread:

Scroll all the way through it their are some more really neat texturing tools in post 29.
Some of those appear to have been hit with a meat tenderizing hammer. Same pattern. They probably weren't literally "hit" but pressed with one.
That's one of those things you can always find at Goodwill for less than $1

Here are some beads I made with leather stamps. I used enamels after I stamped. It was only on the flat part, not the indented surface.
