anyone have any suggestions for color combos on this? I bought the powder and read that it will give a blue metallic look if reduced. Kindof an all over effect since it is a powder.. any other fun stuff? Maybe the mad scientist will have to strike again! Thanks!

well here is what I could get in the few minutes I had
The top is over clear. When I reduced it without melting it in with a neutral flame it turned an ugly burnt gray, then I put it in a neutral flame and then reduced it and this is what I got. It cracked cause I didnt bother to keep it warm...
The bottom was ivory with the iris blue, reduced that it turned gray, neutral flame then added silver leaf, dots of clear, then dots of turquoise and then melted it in and put it in a neutral flame. It does have some color variations in it but they are minor and there is no "metallic blue luster" to be found..

That's pretty! Is that picture posted on the website where you got the powder? Maybe they would have tips. I have found that my reduction glass all seems to turn colors that are different from the name. I haven't had luck when I melt them into the glass. edited to say that it does look like they rolled the bead only very very lightly in the powder...maybe you are getting too much on the bead.

I bought some of the same stuff...from the same person. Here is a link to another thread, not powder, but same R211 frit or rods. I tried the tips on that thread with powder and got a neat steel blue color. The bead is in the kiln but will try to post a pic soon.
